I NO SOUND - Use HD

High Definition explained for filming black people.

720p - HD - 1080 x 720
1080p - Full HD - 1920 x 1080

These above a resolutions that let you know how large each frame is. HD is a digital format - unlike other formats like using film stock - HD is prone to let in a lot of light. There is a lot of detail in each frame - foregrounds,  backgrounds, skin imperfections - it is a make-up,stylists and production designers dream.

Everything is is visible so a director can really rely on unspoken cues, body language and focus on placed symbolism in the frame - the mise-en-scene - the props placed for the actor to use, placed also to guide line of sight.

Instincts preserved for the more experienced film makers but there will now be less 'loss' between endeavours.

Enter robust film making.
