Shelling corn like a professional, GERARD sits in silence.  TAYLOR (SEAN PENN) is by the grill with a METAL BUCKET on the grill with ash/coals around - ash falling into the grill - clean process.





GERARD is now a master of ripping off the green leaves from FULL HEAD CORN - he's done a dozen. Done.





GERARD approaches the grill now and slaps his butter-herbed with marjorum.





TAYLOR lifts the bucket tentatively.

TAYLOR

Right you have me on clockwork here.

GERARD

I think you and mom are ok.

TAYLOR 

Huh?

Overflowing on the table is water from the bucket and OYSTERS ready to be shucked.

TAYLOR

I'll make a fresh salad and a hot salad for the Vegans.
